DEAR MEDIUM,

I no longer
  you!

YOU STINK!

PS: In case the 'heart' is not visible in your browser, it says, "Dear Medium, I no longer heart you! YOU STINK!"

You know, I don't watch this show but thought I might since it was the series finale, right? But then I decided to indulge myself with Mamma Mia. LOL, sounds like I'm very glad I did.

Yeah, I wish I hadn't given in and left

Mama Mia for the last minutes of Medium. I SO wished I hadn't.

I found this a bit of a non sequiteur until I read Marilyn's comment... :-)

Could you not see the 'heart'?

so that using the 'heart' instead of the word 'love', it reads "I no longer 'heart' (as in love) you'??

Re: Could you not see the 'heart'?

It was the 'Medium' I didn't get. If that's shown here, I haven't encountered it - so I didn't at first know what it was you no longer loved. :-) Yes, I can be very thick.

What did I miss? I haven't seen it yet.

If you want the spoiler, here it is

Joe dies.

it's that simple. BUT they make us think that A) either she's dreaming this future scenario (kids grown, she's a lawyer and Joe's been 'missing' following an airplane going down) or B) that it's not a dream and she DOES find Joe at the end, who the bad guy has kept for the last 7 years (that should have been a dead giveaway) but she finds him - only - Joe wakes her up and apologizes. The dream was his idea, to show her how wonderfully she'll live without him because he IS dead, DID die in the plane crash, but that she hijacked the dream to make it appear that he was alive and she just had to find him.

Then he leaves her, she falls to her knees sobbing, screen goes black, then "Forty-One Years Later" and she's an old lady in a home (I don't think her daughters would ever do that to her) eating while listening to one of her grandchildren until, like Mrs. Muir (in the Ghost and Mrs. Muir) she dies and the young Allison and Joe are reunited in death.

Which is NOT good enough. It worked for the movie because the Captain was like, you know, already DEAD. But to kill off JOE???

Then they did a goodbye segment with each of the regulars are leaving the 'studio' since the series is over and finally, "The real Allison and Joe and their children still live happily in Arizona".

OH my god. I can't believe they did that. What a shitty thing to do to Joe. I love Joe. :( I don't know if I'm even going to watch it now. What a terrible way to end a six or seven year season. I think it's six. Sob, sob, sob.

Can I ask what happened? I have it DVR'd, but I'm not sure if I want to watch it or not.

Thanks for the spoiler. I usually see it on Hulu but will skip this. SOOO unnecessary to do that particularly since it is based on a real family. Nasty thing to do for the sake of writer's egos.

I'll say!

I still say it a bitter Gelsey who was responsible! LOL!
