CHANGES MADE AT THE MOONRIDGE UPDATE SITE!
Some important changes have been made at the Live Journal Moonridge Update site, gmfor_moonridge. The first post has been 'reorganized' to be more 'readable' and it's now easier to find information regarding the auction.

When you go to the journal, you'll still see only one post, as usual: the Welcome post. But now you'll find only the 2012 banner, an introductory paragraph and then a series of labeled cut tags. Simply click on the cut tag that represents the information you want. All new updates are the first cuts and are listed by date order with most recent first. The remaining cuts are:

"The History of the Online Auction" - here you'll find how the online auction came about
"The Totals Raised by Fans/Auction" - this shows the amount raised by year plus a 'grand total' to-date
"Photos" - here you'll find photos from the Sentinel Day Charity Event as well as a photo of Garett from each year
"Poll Results for 2012" - I ran a poll this year to find out what kind of auction we should run this year and under this cut, you'll find the results as well as an explanation of why a poll was required in the first place
"FAQ" - this is probably the most important cut as here, you'll find the answers to just about any question you might have about the auction this year. You'll find out when it starts/stops, how to donate, pay, and much more.
"SAMPLE BLURBS FOR DONATING" - this is definitely the second most important cut for those of you who are donating items for the auction. In order to donate, you simply write up what I call a "Blurb" and send it to me, via email. This 'blurb' (along with any applicable photos) will be what we see at our website once it goes live and is how 'buyers' decide what to save up for. *G* The blurbs must be uniformly done, hence I've supplied the necessary templates for you to use.
"DEFINITIONS" - yeah, it's definitions. :)

The biggest change this year is that the Special Auction has a new category. I've added a "First Come, First Won" category which is for those "One of a Kind" items like a single piece of artwork (sculpture, carving, etc.), crafted items (knitted, hand-made, etc.), a single piece of fan-themed artwork, or maybe a classic zine--I think you get the idea. You set the price for the item and the first person who sends me an email, wins it. If that individual fails to send the paypal copy, then I'll notify the second person who sent an email to let them know they're the winner. Once I have the paypal receipt copy, I'll notify in the normal manner.  You'll find sample blurbs for this new category with the other examples.

If you have any questions, give me an 'e'. :)
