Damn, I broke my own - alyburns' (aka sideburns & alyjude) Hiding Place
If you spoke faster than David Hewlett you’d travel back in time: Michael Shanks
Damn, I broke my own
boycott! I have to watch, just for the seating and color co-ordination alone." Hello, I'm a Democrat and you can tell because I'm wearing a blue tie/blouse, dress."

"Hello, I'm a Republican and you can tell because I'm wearing a red tie/blouse/dress."

"Hello, I'm neither, but my party doesn't have a color so I'm wearing whatever the hell color I want."

"Hello, I'm trying to show bi-partisanship so I'm wearing my opposition's colors!"

"Hello, I'm the Speaker of the House but with an orange face, red wouldn't look too good, so I went with the pink tie...."

See? I knew I could make my failure to live up to my boycott a moment for snark....

Although...there are a few wearing purple ties...could they have heard of MY party, the Common Sense Party? WOWWEEE!!!

I am sorry but I just can't watch it. I'll read it tomorrow in the paper.

To be honest, it was the

'after' that killed me. The stupid questions, the non-answers....

The only good thing was that apparently some Congresspeople had 'agreed' to be paired off (as in Demo/Repu sitting next to each other) and some of them were male and female and they all had a good laugh about their 'date'. They also seemed to have the most on the ball, btw, and showed the kind of "We may disagree, but we're together in this thing" we all wish we'd see on Capitol Hill.
