Because there are possible spoilers - this complaint is under the cut.
So the two young athletes (surfers) who have won 6 - that's SIX - legs of the Amazing Race - lost last night and thus won't be in the final 'race'. Now, ordinarily, this wouldn't be upsetting - the races are fair, designed to create periods when all come together at certain spots, and they have no control over taxi drivers, etc. At least - until last night's episode. If I were the two guys who got booted, and I were watching the show now (because now is when they'd find out why they came in last), I'd call for a do-over. See, the teams had to go to this square next to a cathedral and watch ladies dance (I think they were in...Panama? Bolivia? Heck, I've already forgotten! Anyway, the clue to where the final pit stop for that race was hidden somewhere on the dancers (it was written on one lady's dress and imprinted on the metal 'belt' of another one) so all the couples (four left) started looking. The boys got there first and saw that many of the girls had the word "Balboa" on a lot of their jewelry so they jumped back into their cab because they thought that was the clue to the pit stop. It wasn't. BUT here's the thing: The other three couples ended up at the courtyard together, and all started reading jewelry and one other couple saw the Balboa thing too and headed directly for their taxi - where upon the driver said, "Yes, there is a statue of Balboa on Balboa Ave." so they directed him to take them there. By then, at least according to the editing, the boys had figured out Balboa was wrong and were headed back to the courtyard.
But again, here's the thing: The other two couples (via the dress and the belt) got the right place to go and ran to their taxis, gave the name of the place to the drivers and headed out. So one couple was headed to the wrong place and two couples headed to the right one, with the boys headed back to the square. But then...the taxi drivers started talking to each other via their radios because, come on, they're not dumb and they've got cameras in their cars and know what the heck is going on, so the two drivers told the one who was going in the wrong direction, where to go and the couple realized what the drivers were talking about so told him yes, to follow the other drivers!
Now, I may be silly, but to me, that's an unfair advantage - very unfair. So me, I think the boys deserve to be on again next season and I'm personally writing the show, so there! :)
