*pulls back in complete horror of the very idea!*
Of course, thanks to all the new Voter Fraud protection laws installed in many States in the last two years, American won't be able to make the same mistake again! Thank you GOD!
So is voter fraud a real threat to our Democracy? Is it the reason that, against all odds, a black man became the President of the United States? And if so, is that scary or what?
Even Jon Stewart, of the Daily Show had to delve into the subject to find out just how bad things really are....
Yes, I can now see why these laws are so desperately needed; can't you?
I suppose Obama's only hope now is that somehow, by some miracle, the Democratic Party - or in the total lack of their ability to effectively organize anyone or anything - We, the People should probably do all in our power to hit the swing states in order to make it possible for those who would vote legally (meaning in the absence of any fraud) but who are now unable to do so - because of the very laws protecting them from fraudulent voting - to actually go out and...you know...VOTE.
*ponders ways to do that....*
Let's see, I suppose some very rich individuals could volunteer to pay for the now necessary photo ID's required in some states with their new Voter Fraud laws? Maybe pay for transportation as well, since so many voting sites were abolished to avoid voting fraud, and most of those abolished were in the rural areas, thus making it impossible for their rural - and coincidentally poor - voters to get to a voting poll. These same wealthy individuals could help volunteers around college campuses where student ID's are no longer viable for voting, and again, both pay for (since the college students that would be hurt by these laws are the ... you know... poor students, scholarship students; the ones who can barely afford food, let alone shelling out money for the type of ID now required) and transport them to their voting polls?
Oh, and we can't forget all the voters who are alive and legal, but were struck from the voting registers in states like, oh, say, FLORIDA. Yes, someone would need to foot the bill for getting those folks (most of whom were either poor, the elderly, students of voting age, etc.) re-registered by providing both transportation and money for the newly required photo ID's from the states (read long lines at DMV's - YIKES!).
It is odd, though, that of all those affected by these new voter fraud laws (the elderly, poor, minorities and students), of all the names removed from voter registration lists, they all happened to be...registered Democrats. Probably just a coincidence, though.
Yeah, just a coincidence.
Maybe Jon Stewart has something on that too?
It's a good thing so many of us depend on the Fox News Channel for the truth and a balanced view on these things, along with Jon Stewart, of course.
For instance, Fox's reaction to a recent blunder by one of Romney's staff communicators for the media....
(beware - Jon Stewart gives a balanced report, hitting both Democrats and Republicans - and liberal and conservative news shows - with their stupidity. I suppose he could be considered a ... balanced? ... reporter, although he's supposed to be just a comedian....)
